The Word of God is a double-edged sword. Teaching at our churches should convict, challenge and encourage. I am with you!

Good post, Kelly! I definitely want to be challenged!! I love hearing the truth regardless of how hard it hits me.

I've also been in a church that saw their people as servants to the extent that you felt used/taken for granted. That said, our focus should be to serve the Lord in all we do and not to look to men. In that is joy! :)

I'd much rather be at a church that helps me grow spiritually. I went back to read what Jesus's preaching was. He spoke of being the bread and how we need to feed on his flesh and drink of his blood. He talked as if it were literal. I wonder how his 12 core disciples knew it was figurative? Interesting.
